Yumiki's Sims Stories

Let there be Sims!

Life in the Snoor household went on smoothly. Soon, it was time for little Denise to grow up into a teen. Zorka couldn’t believe how soon time had passed.

The usual antics. (Nick says: The sound of those little trumpets annoy me.)

One small leap for Denise...

It seems that Denise wasn’t too happy at the prospect of battling acne and pimples for the next few years. On the other hand, Zorka was glad that Denise looked exactly like her and did not resemble Don even a little.

Many a poster on her walls. (Nick asks: A lot of Adam Simbert?)

Zorka’s gift to her teenage daughter was to give her room a huge makeover. Denise was ecstatic! (Nick says: Adam Simbert can do that to you.)

After this, Zorka started noticing time trickle by only too well. She was growing old.

It wasn’t long before Zorka had her birthday as well and grew into an elder.

It was a pool party, apparently, but being insane Zorka put on the wrong outfit.

She welcomed elderhood with a bit of pain…

…but gracefully.

Twilight in Hell January 10, 2010

As you may have guessed from lack of updates, writing blogs about the Snoors had become a bit boring. So I decided to take a break and show you some of my other sims instead.

This is my re-imagined version of Bella from ‘Twilight’ as an evil vampire. She makes the lives (or deaths, I don’t know) of everyone in her house absolute hell. In my ‘Twilight’, Bella kills Edward in a mysterious manner – mainly because my Edward was a true copy of the original Edward: a creepy, manipulative, overprotective, controlling, stalker tool of the patriarchy (exactly like in the original series). Evil Bella grabbed the chance for revenge one dark night when she was particularly bloodthirsty as there was not a single living person nearby when lo behold, who else passeth by but Edward!

The next morning, the Cullens heard the news that Edward “had gone far far away never to return”. The family was joyous that they were finally rid of that creepy, manipulative, overprotective, controlling, stalker, constipation-faced Edward. The family decided to throw a party where Bella incidentally met a blond vampire named Gregory and decided to marry him right there and then. All was well.

They lived happily ever after, except…

…Gregory the Jerk turned out to be particularly obsessed with leaping into the arms of the ghosts living in their house…

…and also with flirting with Esme Cullen.

Though, Bella didn’t take them very seriously as her mind was generally preoccupied with making life hell for her other household members – which included scaring Jasper.

Yet, in some ways Bella was like any other vampire. She liked to dance – preferably with Alice.

Carlisle could generally be found playing catch with Esme.

The family fishing together:
(photos stolen from their tattered family album)

“No! I will NOT clean the toilet.”

“Drat! Rosalie is so unlucky for me.”

“Finally, a goldfish!”

There’s a “happy” family!

An Update on Little Denise November 27, 2009

For those of you left wondering about what happened to Little Denise, here is an update. Under the care of Zorka and Susie, Little Denise grew up into an intelligent, pretty child.

With traits like ‘Genius’ and ‘Computer Whiz’, she was a straight-A student who never left her homework late. Her favorite pastimes included practicing chess, playing computer games and looking through the telescope.

She also got along with her stepmom very well. Her father Don had practically been absent from her life. Susie was the only parent apart from Zorka whom she cared for. They loved each other a lot.

The two of them played intense chess matches against each other.

And the small family enjoyed regular fire-pit nights. (I’m still not sure why Susie preferred to wear her sleepwear almost all day long when at home.)

A pretty happy childhood Denise had, don’t you think?

A Very Quiet Wedding November 11, 2009

A few Sim days after their engagement, Zorka and Susie decided to have a private wedding.

Wooot!!!

Be my wife?

Susie, head over heels in love with Zorka by now, gladly accepted.

Sure

Awww!

And they were married!

Screenshot-28

I do.

Zorka just couldn’t stop admiring her beautiful wedding ring.

*drools*

Wow!

Over The Hedge October 25, 2009

Hello everyone!

Yumiki is kinda hung up on how to go about regarding one of the events in her game and about how to continue the story. That’s one of the reasons there haven’t been any updates here in a long time, the other being homework and school exams. And now, stats say that we are down to two, yes, two readers. *sigh*

I have been poking her to come up with ideas for the ‘event’ but so far it has amounted to nothing, nada, zilch. So I decided to take control and help her over this writer’s block anyway that I can. You see, when Yumiki started playing The Sims 3 with Zorka, she hadn’t imagined that she would be blogging about it. It was I who set this blog up for her as a surprise sometime after her game had advanced quite a lot. So this story isn’t actually a story. Everything that we write about happened somewhat spontaneously as in the game. She outlines the posts revolving around the few photos that she had taken earlier and I turn those outlines into ‘blog’ posts. That’s how we do things here. Anyhow, coming back to the writer’s block issue… Yumiki is now going to throw you a silly reason for something that happened quite spontaneously in her game (as things always happen in The Simverse) and kneel down to pray to teh gawds that everyone buys the given reason (even if they don’t read Harry Potter).

Enough yammering, here goes nothing…

Remember old Susie Broke?

Screenshot-8

Turned out Zorka had a thing for her.

Yumiki says it happened at the party after the Quidditch final which Gryffindor won by three hundred points. If you have never read Harry Potter you probably won’t get what she is saying. You need not worry about it, though. All you need to know is that Zorka and Susie fell in love with each other and were engaged a few Sim days later.

"Marry me (or else...)"

"Marry me (or else...)"

Cheers!
Nick

P.S. Yumiki is down with fever and is moaning about not being able to go to school. Bah! Find me one plausible excuse and I will never go to school.

Dear Diary

I’ve got so much to tell you. My best friend Zorka asked me to move in with her. I was surprised and so happy. She knew that the lease on my apartment was about expire and I hadn’t been able to find a new place. So, she decided to offer up. I’m glad that I won’t have to move back into my parents’ basement now.

It has been only a few days since I moved here. The house is a large, fine one. Zorka is a really great housemate. We have a lot of fun spending our spare time playing video games together. We have been best friends for quite sometime now. She is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. A lovely, caring person. She is also very huggable! Now, if I were to tell these things to other people, they would laugh and shake their heads at me. I just don’t understand why everyone thinks Zorka is a bad person. She has always been nice to me. Always. I just love her so much.

Anyway… I got a job as a Podium Polisher in the Politics career. The salary is not much but I’m happy to contribute the most that I can to the household funds at the moment. I aspire to become a CEO someday and when I do, all shall be well.

I almost forgot to mention Denise. She’s quiet as a lamb and does not even cry a lot except if you forget to play to play with her. I remember that she did cry a lot on her first birthday but she has been nice and cute for the while.

I’m very happy here. So glad that I chose to move in with Zorka.

Till later.

xoxo
Susie

Zorka Snoor: Available For Download September 12, 2009

Hello everyone, Zorka Snoor, the protagonist of my current story is now available for download on TSR. She was one of my first sims on The Sims 3. I hope you will enjoy playing with her.

Zorka Snoor

She was the first sim I played with in The Sims 3 (which is somewhat different from The Sims 2). In the beginning, I found it a bit difficult to manage her. The first person she interacted with ended up becoming her nemesis and she didn’t seem to want any friends. She had these strange urges (moodlets) to check the sink or stove frequently and if I didn’t let her do it her mood would drop down. Although, as time passed I gradually became experienced at the game and got used to her behaviour. Ultimately, she became my favorite, unique sim.

Her Traits:

Neurotic

Kleptomaniac

Insane

Mean-Spirited

Evil

Her Favorites are:

Food – Waffles

Music – Electronica

Color – Black

Zorka Snoor is now available for download at The Sims Resource:

Denise’s Toddlerhood + A New Household Member September 10, 2009

Little Denise’s toddlerhood went by smoothly. For a single mom, Zorka was managing everything – work, home and the baby – quite efficiently.

Zorka taught Denise to talk. Soon enough, the little one was chatting with her mom about the Grim Reaper. I guess we will even see her debating the existence of afterlife soon.

Screenshot-24

Zorka – “Now say, ‘Grim Reaper’.”
Little Denise – “Boo!”
Zorka – “No, Grim Reaper. Grim Reeeeper… Whoooo…”
Little Denise – “Greeee Paaa… Whoooo…”
Zorka – “That’s better. *sigh*”

She also taught her to walk…

Screenshot-25

Meanwhile a new member joined the Snoor household. You’ve seen the interiors of Zorka’s house. Imagine living in such a huge house, raising a child all by yourself. It’s bound to get lonely sometimes, isn’t it? Zorka decided to invite her now best friend Susie Broke to move in with her. She knew that Susie’s lease on her apartment was expiring soon and that she was having a tough time trying to find a new place that was good enough. Mean spirited though Zorka is, she very occasionally shows a tad bit of benevolence towards her loved ones. Hence, Zorka put forward the proposal which was accepted by a pleasantly surprised Susie.

Between sharing cooking and grocery shopping responsibilities, the two generally played video games in their free time together.

Screenshot-32

Zorka looks like she is determined to win. ;)

Screenshot-30

Susie even lent a hand in taking care of Denise. Looks like little Denise had a quite nice toddlerhood with these two doting on her.

Interiors August 31, 2009

I wanted to share with you the interiors of Zorka’s house, which I built myself. So, here are the pictures:

The Porch

This is the front porch of the house. Since this was the first house I ever built I wasn’t experienced with building and decor.

Living room and Kitchen

This is the kitchen and dining area of the house where most eventful things happened and will continue to happen. Those paintings were not there before but thanks to Zorka’s hard work, she successfully stole some paintings which I mounted on the wall.

Screenshot-39

This is Zorka’s bedroom. It is all chocolate-y because I love this colour in bedrooms.

The liitle room

This was a spare room which I later turned into the kids’ room. It has almost everything a growing child needs. Please pardon my poor decoration skills. I assure you I have gotten much better since. :)

Screenshot-33

This is sort of a gym room, with the added bonus of a chess table – for working the muscles of one’s head, I guess. It also has a good music player… plus a dollhouse!
(No, not that brilliant sci-fi show by Joss Whedon.)

Screenshot-35

And this is the study room where the household members simply stay glued to the computer. Nobody ever bothers to read  a book or paint. Meh!

Screenshot-40

“Hey! I want hot dogs!”

This is Mysterious Mr. Gnome that Zorka stole from someone else’s garden. True to his name, Mysterious Mr. Gnome can somehow move around the house on his own and can be found in various positions and at different locations every once in a while. In this picture, he is probably very hungry.
